Cod liver oil is a natural source of vitamin A, vitamin D3, EPA and DHA (omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids). Omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids (EPA and DHA) have multiple beneficial effects on the cardiovascular system.
The main function of vitamin D3 is to increase the absorption and utilization of calcium and phosphorus, contributing to the process of bone mineralization and therefore to the maintenance of normal bones and teeth. It also contributes to the functioning of the immune system and normal muscle function.
Vitamin A contributes to healthy vision and the maintenance of normal bones and teeth. Jamieson Cod Liver Oil is sourced from North Atlantic cod (Gadus morhua) in Norway.
The oil is purified to remove all traces of mercury and other micro-contaminants. The product is certified free of PCB, DDT and heavy metals (lead, mercury, cadmium).
