Omega complete pure krill oil contains 100% pure Antarctic krill oil (Euphausia superba), a small crustacean present in enormous quantities in terms of biomass in the Antarctic.
Antarctic Krill Oil is a particularly abundant and renewable type of krill, harvested through sustainable fishing in the deep, icy waters of the Antarctic. Krill is a particularly valuable and highly bioavailable source of EPA and DHA (omega-3 fatty acids) and astaxanthin.
Astaxanthin is a carotenoid with a strong antioxidant power that helps protect cells from free radical damage. Jamieson Krill Oil is free of heavy metals, PCBs (polychlorinated biphenyls, an environmental pollutant), dioxins and pesticides. Omega complete pure krill oil does not have the unpleasant fishy aftertaste in the mouth that often accompanies krill oil supplements.
