Lapacho bark promotes the body's natural defenses, the regularity of the sweating process, the body's purifying functions, the regular functionality of the cardiovascular system, blood pressure and the functionality of the upper respiratory tract.

COMPONENT
Lapacho is the name attributed to the internal part of the bark of a variety of evergreen plants of Amazonian and South American origin, called Tabebuia avellanedae and therefore very widespread in the mountains of Paraguay, Argentina, Brazil, Bolivia and Peru.

It is also known by the Portuguese name pau d'arcu, which means “string stick”. The wood of this plant, in fact, was used for the construction of arches. The first to appreciate the virtues of the extracts of this plant were the indigenous populations of Central and South America.

Already thousands of years ago they collected the internal part of the bark of this 'miraculous' tree for the treatment of many diseases of viral, bacterial and fungal origin, and to treat skin lesions and soothe psoriasis, dermatitis and insect bites.

Lapacho has always been considered a panacea for the treatment of various infections and is particularly recommended in cases of candida, cystitis and vaginal infections.

The beneficial properties are attributed above all to the minerals (calcium, magnesium, phosphorus, zinc, chromium, silicon, manganese, copper, potassium sodium), to the trace elements of which it is particularly rich, and to two substances with antibiotic and anti-inflammatory power, xylodine and lapacholo, useful for combating fungi, bacteria, viruses, to tone and purify the body and to stimulate its natural defenses.

Recent studies conducted by the United States Department of Health have confirmed the therapeutic properties of this extract: anti-inflammatory, antiviral, antibacterial, antifungal.

It also has the ability to strengthen and activate the immune defenses and purify the body. It acts as a tonic, has important antioxidant effects, stimulates the production of red blood cells, and is a mild diuretic. It may have a hypoglycaemic and hypotensive effect.
