COMPONENTS:

Green tea
Plant with recognized health properties, used by the Chinese for over 2000 years. Rich in polyphenols, it is a powerful antioxidant, has a beneficial effect on cholesterol, ensures good functioning of the liver and kidneys, reduces the absorption of sugars and has a slight diuretic effect.

Coffee
Rubiaceae family. Although over 100 species are identified and described within the Coffea genus, commercially the different species of origin are presented as different varieties of coffee and the most widespread are arabica (Coffea arabica) and robusta (Coffea canephora).

Thanks to its tonic characteristics, coffee consumption has rapidly spread throughout the world. In phytotherapy the seeds of green coffee as chlorophenic acid, the most important active component, is lost in the roasting of the beans. The caffeine content is very low.

The use of green coffee extract accelerates the metabolism of sugars, lowers the glycemic peak, intervenes on the absorption of carbohydrates introduced in the diet.

Fennel
Mediterranean herbaceous plant of the Apiaceae family (Umbelliferae). Known since ancient times for its aromatic properties, its horticultural cultivation seems to date back to the 1500s.

It is emmenagogue, diuretic, carminative, antiemetic, aromatic, antispasmodic, anti-inflammatory, hepatic. Used for those with digestive difficulties, aerophagia, vomiting and in breastfeeding to reduce air colic in children.

It is known that a strong herbal tea from the seeds of this plant is very effective in treating abdominal swelling due to aerophagia. It also fights the fermentation processes of the large intestine, decreasing intestinal gas. It is therefore useful for reducing the painful component of irritable bowel syndrome.

Mate
Infusion prepared with the leaves of Yerba Mate (in Spanish yerba Mate or simply yerba; erva Mate in Portuguese), a plant native to South America. Following the same process as tea, yerba mate is dried, cut and chopped.

Traditionally this infusion is drunk hot and in company. In the Andes it is known for its beneficial effects against altitude sickness. The consumption of Mate has diuretic effects; it is mildly exciting, due to its caffeine content; it also tends to calm the appetite and give a sense of satiety.

Guarana
Climbing plant, evergreen, native to the Amazon forest belonging to the Sapindaceae family. Its ideal habitat is that of the Amazon forest where it grows spontaneously along the rivers.

It has always been considered by the Indians as an elixir of long life; its use was centered above all on the tonic-stimulating effect, to therefore increase physical resistance. But its properties are countless, widely tested and documented.

It is indicated in states of fatigue, asthenia and for greater physical and mental performance. It also helps reduce the feeling of hunger and is therefore indicated as part of controlled low-calorie diets for weight reduction.

Celery
Native to the Mediterranean area and known as medicinal plants since the time of Homer, it is a biennial herbaceous species of the Apiaceae family. There are various phytotherapeutic properties attributed to it: flavouring, digestive, carminative, diuretic, emmenagogue.

Common chicory
Perennial herbaceous plant with bright light blue flowers, belonging to the Asteraceae family.

In Phytotherapy [2]: in general it stimulates the functions, through purification and detoxification, of the intestine, liver and kidneys thanks to the substances present in the roots which have, among other things, digestive, hypoglycemic, laxative, cholagogue (facilitates the secretion biliary towards the intestine) and cardiotonic (regulates the heart rate). The pulp of the root can be useful for some inflammations (anti-inflammatory properties).

Dandelion
Its root has properties that concern the maintenance of liver and biliary function. In particular, it stimulates the production of bile by the liver and facilitates its passage into the intestine, where it is involved in the digestion of fats.

Black horseradish
Its juice is obtained from fresh, carefully selected roots from organic farming. Black horseradish has long been known for its properties stimulating the formation and flow of bile, as well as its mild laxative activity.

It also has a tonic action on the intestine and gallbladder and is recommended in cases of difficulty digestion of fats accompanied by constipation. To have positive results, it is advisable to combine its consumption with an adequate diet, i.e. low in saturated fats (cheese, butter, red meat and sausages).
