Useful in case of:

• Functional dyspepsia, gastritis, gastroesophageal reflux, including in children

• It can be used as an anti-inflammatory adjuvant in the treatment of Chron's disease

USE IN THE KITCHEN:

This resin has an initial bitter and subsequently refreshing taste, reminiscent of the notes of pine or cedar.

Among its various uses in the kitchen, it is very popular in distilleries for the creation of "Mastika", a liqueur with digestive properties, and in the preparation of dondurma, the traditional Turkish ice cream.

Try some grated Chio mastic to flavor salads or on a carpaccio of white fish such as sea bream, a few crystals of Chio mastic go well for example with a spinach risotto or with spaghetti with tomato and fresh mozzarella .

Another use of mastic is to create a flavored oil, to be used for example to flavor a dish of tagliatelle with prawns or to flavor a lamb skewer in a pistachio pesto sauce.
